The University of Three Generations (UTG) is a proposal of educational meetings addressed to the Polish community in Belgium.
The list of UTG invited guests includes outstanding figures from the Polish academic world.
At UTG, we prove that the world is complicated, but also explainable; Answers to simple questions can be difficult – but they are possible! We do not teach or instruct – we stimulate thinking for it. Our goal is to exchange experiences in an atmosphere of open and equal discussion. We do not judge views, but we focus on honest conversation between the guests we invite. We will find out what inspires and motivates them, just like all participants in the discussion. Instead of dry facts, we want to convey to students the worldview supported by life experience.
The university is open to everyone. The formula of three generations is an extension of the proven concept of the UTG, enriched by the participation of people belonging to the middle and quite young generations. Everyone will find their place here, regardless of education or occupation. We encourage our students to curiosity and uncompromising inquisitiveness.
The subject of UTG refers on one hand to European traditions, and on the other – to Polish civilization heritage. We implement this year’s series of meetings at UTG under the slogan “Modern Poland in Modern Europe”. We want to talk about morality, education, history, the role of Poles in Europe and the experience of civil society. We devote attention to everyday phenomena – tolerance, good neighborliness, honesty and conscious use of the media.
