We also published a magazine intended for younger recipients and their parents, “What squeaks in the grass”.
We arranged our newspaper so that parents read it together with their children. “What squeaks in the grass” is focused on family education and integration. The texts we published were to help parents maintain and develop good relationships with children. They were also supposed to develop imagination and encourage creative thinking.
One of the important assumptions of the newspaper was integration through participation – and thus persuading parents and children to visit Belgian museums, theaters, amusement parks and cinemas. We also encouraged to read books published in Belgium. We emphasized knowledge of Belgian culture and languages.
